This page will be devoted to happy ending stories and "tails" from the Sunday Market and other events. |
It has been another successful summer for the Clatsop Animal Assistance Sunday Market booth. Many people have made it their weekend destination when they visit the Astoria Sunday Market, and they donate generously. The first thing people say when they come by is: "who'd you bring today?"
These are some of the dogs who attended the market this year:
Olivia and Ozzy - adorable male and female lab/pit x puppies attended the market twice and got lots of attention by volunteers and the public. They have both been adotped and went to loving homes.
Sarge - a beautiful older Border Collie x, was the victim of divorce and ended up at the shelter. He spent several Sundays at the market, walked in a parade, and went to La De Dog for their Yappy Hour. A wonderful couple adopted him and his name is now Wally.
Picard - a large Chocolate Lab was definitely a favorite at the market. He got adopted shortly after his market visit.
Cocoa - a lovely Spaniel x found by the side of the road, extremely emaciated and weak. Her owners never looked for her. One Market volunteer fostered her over the weekend and adopted her! She has a great life now.
Keep watching this page for more great reports coming soon.
